purchased for the bedroom; it works fine. I prefer LCD but picked this for the price and dvd combo. Figure I can always use it as a computer monitor or take advantage of the ac/dc capability at some point. Worth the price. Has sleep timer, which was my main concern. The sound quality is not great as noted in other reviews I read... but again ok for the bedroom.

Received the tv yesterday. I went to set it up today, but there wasn't a power cord. My son found an adapter that would bring the power red light on. I called the manufacturer tech support and had to leave a message. I have not gotten a response thus far. We were able to get the red light to come on that shows it has power, but no picture. Also, it seems to be leaning very far forward even when we tightened the screws. My son even took the screws completely out and put them back in thinking that would help. All in all--not a very happy customer so far . This was to be a gift, but I won't be able to give it now. I will update status if I receive anymore news about the product.12/27/12 12:00 pm Manufacturer called back finally. Will send me adapter for power cord. No apology received. I already bought another tv BEFORE Christmas. I'm not sure whati will do with this one? I will update if the tv works once I receive the missing part.1/12/13 Received The same cord as before (the part that plugs into the wall--not the DC part that plugs into the TV). Called the company back and got a live person!! Finally received the right part this week and the tv now works. It still leans forward a bit. Overall, I guess it's ok. I will keep it myself now that I went through all this hassle. I will not buy this brand again.

Just like everyone else that bought this item during the 2012 Holiday Season, I did not receive the DC Adapter side of the power cord. I did receive the basic side of the power cord that plugs into the wall outlet, but not the DC transformer side that plugs into the TV. Other Problems: The stand was broken. There is a really cheap base stand that does not lock together well with the TV.....VERY CHEAPLY MADE & WOBBLES. If you are wall mounting, this does not matter, but if you plan to have the unit on a desktop/table....BEWARE!The product manual makes no reference to the power adapter, other that it is ATTACHED to the TV......Clearly, it is NOT! Is there any quality Control / testing here????To add insult to injury, I paid $170 for the TV about 2 weeks before Christmas, and with all of the negative reviews for missing power adapters, quality control, Etc, during the past couple of weeks, the price jumped up $90 to $260??????Amazon was great, as usual, and paid for me to return the item. I wanted to order another, however, after reading the recent reviews, I was afraid I would just get another TV with a missing power adapter. I emailed the Manufacturer to see what they can do, and how fast they can do it, so I plan to give it a few days before I return the TV.UPDATE: 01-15-2013 - I finally received a power adapter from the Manufacturer. They just asked for the serial number, but it took them about 5 days to ship the adapter, and another 5 days for regular mail delivery from California to the east coast. So far so good - The adapter works, powered up and picture seems good. The TV will be used in a child's bedroom mostly for watching DVDs. The stand still is somewhat of a problem, but nothing that some black duct tape easily fixed and also reduced the wobble. Oh well...I guess I will keep it for now!
