I bought this TV for a small room. The problem I had with my prior TV was I had a very hard time hearing the TV when I had the wall a/c unit on so I wanted a TV that could be louder. I went to Fry's and looked at many TVs, testing the volume level on each TV. I was surprised how many TVs have such low volume. The sales associate said its because they want you to buy a sound bar or surround sound system, but I have limited space and didn't want to spend more money just to be able to hear the TV. The sound level kicked arse on this TV compared to ANY other simular TV including a few models that were bigger screen size. It's great to have a small TV that puts out enough sound to hear over my a/c unit. This is my 1st LED and the picture quality is great!!! It's true about what the prior reviewer said about initial set-up, you have to make sure you select an input source before you run the channel scan. I've never heard of AOC before so I bought the extended warranty just incase, but I've had the TV for 2 months now and really luv it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the input design on the back of the TV. The HDMI input is right below the wall mount screws, which means the wall mount plate covers the HDMI input when mounted. The only way I was able to get my wall plate to mount and have the HDMI cable work was to find long tube spacers and then get longer screws (1 1/2 inches long) which allowed me to mount the wall plate on the back of the TV AND plug in the HDMI cable. The entire problem could've been solved if the HDMI imputs where located towards either side of the TV.

Nice unit for our bedroom, and because of the multitude of inputs, an excellent second monitor between our two computers (Mac and HP). Speakers are small, but adequate.If you operate the television LED display next to even a high quality computer monitor LCD display you can really tell the difference, and the fact that the LED is emitting light means that the viewing angle is much better than the LCD.One setup hitch: The autosetup tells you to run an initial channel scan, but does not default to an input. Consequently it doesn't find any inputs. You must manually select an input, either on the remote or on the side panel control buttons, then everything runs well. This step is in the paper setup guide, but is easy to overlook. The set is not defective.Once in digital operation, remember that if you hit a channel up or down button on the remote the input switches over to analog/cable.Make sure you get your HDMI/HDMI or HDMI/DVI cables before you get home, since no cables are provided.
